100 Years of Remembrance

This year's Remembrance Day marked 100 years since the nation’s collective Remembrance traditions were first bought together, such as the poppy, two-minute silence, Armistice Day, the service for the Unknown Warrior, and the march-past at the Cenotaph.

In school we commemorated with our House Captains visiting the village war memorial with Mrs Sharpe while our Vice-Captains  delivered a presentation on what, who and why we remember. This presentation was instigated by them and they had been working collaboratively on it all week We were very impressed with their positive attitude in accepting and using constructive feedback, and their bravery to present to the whole school.
