Famous Footballers

On Thursday 23^rd March, a group of children from Year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to visit St George’s Park to watch the England U21 national team train.  We were able to watch the whole training session and get some top tips on attacking and defending with training led by head coach Lee Carsley and assistant coach Ashley Cole.  After an action packed session, the children were able to get autographs and photos with the team and coaching staff including team captain Morgan Gibbs-White, Liverpool stars, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp and Manchester City’s Rico Lewis.  All of the children and staff had a marvellous time, the children showed exemplary behaviour and were wonderful ambassadors for Thomas Russell junior School.
